Notification preferences
Choose which emails and in app notifications you receive, and how often.
Notification preferences belong to your account and apply to every organization you are a member of. Open Account settings, then Notifications.
The categories
| Category | Examples | Can be disabled |
|---|---|---|
| Security | Password changed, new device, email change | No |
| Account | Invitation received, role changed, removed from an organization | No |
| Product activity | Audit finished, keyword position moved, brief ready | Yes |
| Weekly summary | One email with the week's changes per project | Yes |
| Billing | Payment failed, renewal reminder, invoice issued | Owners only, no |
| Product news | New features, occasional tips | Yes |
Security, account and billing messages are transactional. They tell you that something happened to your access or your money, so they are always delivered.
Channels
Each optional category has two switches.
- Email sends a message to your account address.
- In app shows the notification in the bell menu, where it stays for 30 days.
Turning both off for a category means you find that information only by opening the relevant page.
The weekly summary
The weekly summary arrives on Monday morning in your timezone and covers the seven previous days for every project you have access to. Choose the day and the hour under the switch, or turn it off entirely.
If a project changed nothing during the week, it is skipped rather than reported as empty, so the email stays short.
Per project muting
Beyond these account wide preferences, each project has a bell icon in its header. Muting a project stops its product activity notifications for you alone, without changing anything for your colleagues and without touching your other projects.
Digests instead of individual emails
If audit notifications are noisy, keep the category enabled but switch it to Daily digest in the frequency selector. You get one email a day listing everything that finished, instead of one per run.
Unsubscribe links
Every optional email carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it turns off that single category and takes you to this page, where you can review the rest. It never disables security or billing messages.
If emails stop arriving
Check the address on your profile first, then your spam folder. If your company filters mail, ask your administrator to allow our sending domain. In app notifications keep working regardless of email delivery.
